Thursday, February 2nd - Volunteer Docent Training
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) in St. Michaels will offer training for new and existing docent volunteers at the museum beginning Thursday, February 2nd from 10am -11am and continuing on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout February. The training is FREE and open to the public, with advanced registration needed. On Thursday, Febraury 2nd basic information for becoming a museum will be provided. The orientation is followed with a 6-part intensive training program led by CBMM's Director of Education Katie Livie. Sessions are schediled for 10am-12:30pm in CBMM's Van Lennap Auditorium on Feb. 7th, 9th, 14th,16th,21st and 23rd. All sessions must be attended to qualify as a museum docent. White Marsh Elementary School PTO (Trappe)will host a Quarter Auction on Friday, February 3rd from 5:30pm until. Doors open at 5:30pm and the Auction begins at 6pm at the White Marsh Elementary School Cafeteria. Cost $3 for first paddle and $1 for each additional paddle. Proceeds benefit WMES PTO.

Saturday, February 4th - Judith Reveal
Saturday, February 4th at 2pm in Denton Central Library, Judith Reveal will discuss and sign copies of her new book, A House to Kill For, the third in her exciting murder mystery series based in Greensboro, Md. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Caroline County Public Library.
Feb. 4th - Easton Little League Registration Dates
The Easton Little League Board has announced the following date February 4th for the 2012 registration dates at the Talbot County Operations Center, 605 Port Street in Easton from 9am-Noon. Parents should bring a copy of a birth certificate to confirm age eligibility and will be asked to fillout a player registration form and a medical form. Saturday, Feb. 4th & 11th - 4-H Shotgun Safety Training
A 4-H Shotgun Safety Training for youth ages 10yrs to 18yrs is scheduled in Talbot County on Saturday, February 4th & 11th. Training includes lecture plus hands on instruction. Attendance at all sessions is required for completion and for eligibility to join Claybusters, the Talbot County 4-H Shotgun Club. There is no charge for this training, but space is limited. Wednesday, February 8th - Habitat for Humanity Choptank Habi-Tour
Learn more about how Habitat Choptank transforms lives and neighborhoods at a Habi-Tour. A Habi-Tour is a 1 hour opportunity to hear a Habitat homeowner's personal story and learn more about Habitat's mission of building homes and hope. The Kent Island Library will present the Zoomobile. The Zoomobile from the Baltimore Zoo be coming to Kent Island Branch on Tuesday, February 14th at 10:30am and 11:15am. The program is Free of charge and includes the "ABC Mystery," a 30 minute show for children 2yrs-5yrs, with an adult, with limit of 35 children for each show. To register call 410-643-8161. The children will learn about animals while practicing the alphabet in an interactive program featuring three of four animl ambassadors. Last winter, there was a penquin, hare and a tortoise.

White Marsh Elementary School PTO will host a Spaghetti Dinner from 4pm-7pm at the Trappe Fire Hall to benefit the students and teachers at White Marsh. Cost $7 at the door and $5 in advance. Cost is $5 for children at the door and $5 in advance. Menu: Homemade spaghetti with or without meat sauce, garlic bread, fresh salad, homemade dessert and beverage.
